Introduction

Welcome to Income generation, our 4-week course on setting up a micro-business.

Objectives of this course:

• Give you the tools and tips to run a training programme that helps your target group live off their business… or find other income opportunities.
• Discuss how to adapt these training tools.
• Review or acquire key knowledge on small business finance.

Course format:

This course consists of short videos and quizzes to help you check your understanding. The reading content is kept to a minimum: summary of learning points. Post your questions in the discussion! During the first three weeks, we’ll review the business basics and in week 4, we’ll talk about training your target groups. Throughout this online training, we use training materials that you can download. We’ll see how to use and adapt them in week 4.

• Week 1: we’ll focus on what makes a business successful
• Week 2: we’ll delve into business finance
• Week 3: we’ll discuss capital and cash flows
• Week 4: we’ll go through a+b=3’s microbusiness training programme.

How to navigate this course:
